The problem of environmental degradation affects everyone who cares about the future. For this reason proper use and processing of associated petroleum gas (APG) in Russian help to reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere, which has a positive effect on the environment as a whole.

To change the situation and reduce flaring valid Government Decree № 1148 from 08.11.2012 , under which oil companies are required to pay heavy fines for excessive burning - more than 5 % level .

Russia is the leader in flaring associated gas. In 2012 the volume of APG flared 17.1 billion m3. Compared with 2011, in 2012 the largest number of burning took place in Eastern Siberia.

Considering the detrimental effect flaring of associated gas, it should be noted toxic compounds from APG that accumulate everywhere in the sources of drinking water in the soil, plants and animals that enter the body.

With the flaring of associated gas flaring emits millions of tons of pollutants , which are located in regions where oil and gas. When APG form substances such as soot , nitrogen oxides , carbon monoxide , 3,4- benzpyrene , benzene , phosgene , toluene , heavy metals (mercury , arsenic , chromium) , sulfur dioxide and others. Including stand greenhouse gases, which adversely affect the climate of the entire planet.

Contaminants, hitting the atmosphere, transported by air flow in the liquid , gas and solid ( aerosol ) state. One of the main sources of air pollution in the region where the oil industry, it is flaring in flares.

The oil and gas sector accounts for 30 % of all industrial pollutants in Russia , and the emission of oil producing companies in the atmosphere is about 12 % of all harmful emissions .

In the present gas emission of nitrogen and sulfur oxides. When dissolved in the air formed acid precipitation, which leads to the acidification of soil and snow, loss of nitrates and sulfates.

With regard to the harmful effects on soil, the total area of disturbed soil from the impact of emissions torches is about 100 hectares. Near flames when exposed to high temperatures is almost complete burning.

Forest ecosystems are most common negative consequences such as a reduction of forests, increasing the risk of forest fires near the torches, reducing the number of animals, insects and microorganisms.

Harmful emissions from APG flaring torches also fall into the human body. This leads to increased morbidity, occurrence of chronic diseases, increased mortality.

Thus reducing the number of torches burning associated gas by recycling, we contribute to the solution of environmental problems.
